How to Mobile Bid with Greater Giving Online Bidding

We are a paperless auction! This year’s event will once again use Greater Giving Online Bidding. You will bid using your smartphone or tablet on Silent Auction items and Mystery Boxes. You can easily track Packages by “following” their activity without having to continuously return to a table or bid sheet.

How Do You Bid?

1. Pre-register before the event.

To speed up your check-in process, we are offering pre-registration ahead of the event.

Once your table host has provided your name to Covenant House, confirm your mobile number and email address by emailing or calling Holly Lee, Associate Director of Development, at hlee@covenanthouseak.org or (907) 339-4406. 

2. When the auction is open and you are checked in, you will receive an automated ‘Welcome’ text with your bidder link.

3. Click the link in the text message.

4. Begin searching for packages by name, number, or category.

5. Select the package you wish to bid on. You can bid in three different ways:

Click Bid for the next increment.

Click Bid More than the next increment OR

Choose Bid More and set a Max Bid. If your max bid is the highest, the system will automatically bid in your favor until you are outbid or until the Silent Auction closes. If your bid is lower than the highest max bid on that package, you will be prompted to enter a higher bid.

6. Some packages may have a BUY NOW price. To purchase a package at the Buy Now price and close the bidding on that item, click Buy.

7. If you’re out-bid at any point before the silent auction closes, you will receive a text message.

8. To "watch" a package, select the star icon on the package.

9. To view packages you are watching, click the menu button and select Favorites.

10. To view packages you are bidding on, click the menu button and select Bids.

10. To make a donation to Sponsor Success, select the Sponsor Success button on your home screen and choose a preset amount or select the Custom Amount button to enter the amount you wish to donate.

11.Once the auction closes, the guest with the highest bid will win each package.

Click the menu button and select Bids to see your winning packages. Packages you had the highest bids on will be marked WON.
