What time does the event begin? 

11:00 am


Can I buy tickets at the door? 

No.


What is the dress code?

Business. Because this is a garden-themed event, we welcome you to bring bright colors and a spring flair.  


Do I need to bring cash? 

No. Everything else at the event will be purchased using the bid number you're given at the check-in. This includes auction items, raffle tickets, dona
tions,
 
and so on. If you wish to pay cash at
 the final check-out, you are welcome 
and able
to do so.

I heard you're doing mobile bidding for the silent auction. Will you also have the sheets where I write my bids?

No, all bidding will be done using your smart phone. Don't worry though; you won't need a special app. When the auction opens, you'll receive a text to the mobile phone number you listed in your registration. You'll click a link in that text and the bidding fun begins! If you'd like to see how the process will work, use the menu on the left to visit the Mobile Bidding - How It Works page. 


Why are you using mobile bidding?

Mobile bidding can occur at any location within the event, whether you are at your table, mingling with friends, or even before you arrive at the event. You do not have to be at the auction tables to make a bid which we hope will help make the event more social for you.


Does mobile bidding work with any device? 

 

Yes, you can bid with any mobile device. With smartphones and tablets, you can browse, search and bid via a web browser. When registering your mobile device, you will be provided a custom URL for bidding purposes. With standard mobile phones, you can bid and receive alerts via text messaging.


What if I do not have a mobile device to bid with at the event? 

 

Volunteers with iPads will be available on-site for those that don't own or don't wish to use a mobile device. They will also be available to assist with questions and bidding.


Can I share a bid number with another guest? 

Yes, this is a great option for two or more guests to purchase items on one bid number. If you would like to share a bid number with someone else who is attending, please inform your table host or email development@covenanthouseak.org with the names of the people who wish to share.


Am I going to have to stand in line at the end? 

We are increasing the amount of volunteers as well as improving our design of the auction to improve the check out process. We'll have the items you've purchased ready to leave with you, as quickly as possible. Pick up purchased auction items in the hallway after the program ends.
